The Spirit of Antichrist

 In The Antichrist

The Spirit of Antichrist — Jay Zinn

Every spirit that does not acknowledge that Jesus Christ [has come in the flesh and is from God] is not of God. This is the spirit of the antichrist which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world (1 John 4:3). —NIV

To pick up where I left off in the last blog, I present this question: Why do we automatically assume that the “mark of the beast” is an application of technology inserted into our bodies? As I mentioned before, the original language for “mark” in that verse implies a permanent stamp or etching “on” the right hand or forehead—a more practical approach if the aftermath of the earthquake and four trumpets destroys all the electric grids. On the whole, the world’s population will become unplugged and go dark—back to the days before the electrical revolution of the 19th century. What a sobering thought!

Before you get too concerned, however, let me repeat that the “mark of the beast” won’t be utilized until “after” the earthquake, the sun’s light blocked, the moon turns blood red, and a global meteor shower rains down from the skies. When that comes, the countdown begins, the bride of Christ appears, the trumpets sound, the Antichrist appears, and the forty-two-months of his reign is around the corner (Rev 13:5). We have a long way to go, yet, before that happens. The world must embrace, first, the rapidly-trending concept of a one-world government, with a one-world currency, and a one-world military (i.e., globalism).

What we’ve witnessed and experienced during this COVID19 pandemic [besides the tragic deaths and economic loss] is more material to exploit for socialism. Socialism is setting the stage for an alliance of the ten most prominent world kingdoms from which the Antichrist emerges. An oligarchy[1] exists behind the world scene to steer this process through vehicles such as the United Nations (UN), the World Health Organization (WHO), The World Trade Organization (WTO), the World Bank Group (WBG), and The World Summit of Religious Leaders (WRL).

People have often asked me if the Antichrist will be a real person or the spirit of the age? John, the apostle, says the spirit of antichrist is at work among those who reject Christ. He warned this spirit would not only be coming but was already in the world (1 John 4:3). The spirit of the world is anti-Christ—i.e., in opposition to Jesus, the Son of God and Lord of all nations.

In the last two centuries, this spirit has evolved through progressive forms of religious and political ideologies [both interwoven]. Through the vehicles of world religion and politics, the spirit of antichrist works its lies to increase the deception in these last days. The spirit of antichrist is the doctrine of secular humanism. Humanism has shaped the base and belief system for socialism, communism, and globalism. And though there’s been a recent trending away from globalism toward nationalism (e.g., America and Britain), a pandemic can easily nudge the world back toward globalism and energize its members.

Globalism is the objective of the world organizations mentioned earlier. They exist for the good and safe-keeping of the world’s population—nothing but smoke and mirrors for these globalist operatives. The more socialism makes its “creep” into the fabric of our social structures and worldview, the more influential the spirit of antichrist becomes, using any and every means to subtly precondition the world for the Antichrist, who is the “embodiment” of the spirit of the age.

Any world disaster, pestilence, or calamity turns into more “opportunities” to strengthen the globalist agenda—and always through the tactic of inducing panic and fear. The pandemic of COVID19 [though horrible as it’s been] will serve to advance their plan. And as long as technology exists and continues to evolve [which it will], the spirit of antichrist will use it as a subtle tool of convenience. Technology will condition hearts and minds to surrender their freedom to government control—out of necessity and the survival of the world. COVID19 is another “sign of the times” but not the end of time. It is a preview of the arbitrary control of governments in the future (including local authorities, county and regional authorities, statewide authorities, and national or federal authorities).

Technology will still service and advance the globalist effort. Little by little, our liberties will erode until resistance is futile, and government domination becomes the acceptable “norm.” The people of China understand this well. Opportunities like COVID19 create smokescreens to advance socialism and crackdown on insurgents. How many Hong Kong freedom fighters do you suppose have disappeared during the world’s attention on this pandemic? Do your homework and find out.

But don’t give in to fear. Fear torments people. God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Tim 1:7). He’s still on the throne, always in control. We have the Spirit of Christ in us. The unfortunate events today can work toward our good. It can turn into “opportunities” to advance the kingdom of God, adjust our priorities, realign our “center,” purify our hearts, and embolden our resolve to glorify our King, the true Messiah—Jesus Christ.

Grace and peace to you all!
